EXHIBITION
HAUSPRINT collective
The end of year HAUSPRINT Etching Year exhibition of prints by all seven participating artists.
Seven artist-printmakers have completed the intensive HAUSPRINT Etching Year and are showing a range of different etchings, across subjects including Mike Taylor’s found rocks and textures, Janie Skuse’s dark street-lamp lit south London streets and Clare Winter’s series of emotionally-charged images of older women.
Rachel McVeagh’s prints explore home, and the charged dynamic between herself and her very opinionated cat! Matt Worrall has a fascination with animals too, and exhibits images of Koi carp. Jen Ross looks at depictions of the earth from space and Irene Graham was ahead of the Odessey trend with her images which explore women in greek myths.

End of year exhibition celebrating the end of our HAUSPRINT Etching Year 2024.
Etching
Etching was originally invented as a method for adding decoration to armour during the Middle Ages. Artists began to use metal plates for printing in the 15th century, when Albrecht Durer made work on iron plates. Later artists such as Andrea Mantegna in Italy and Rembrandt in Holland went on to make etchings on copper.
